Kidzchat is the best kid's chat channel in cyberspace, ad is dedicated to kids from 6 to 17 (or thereabouts, hehehehe). You can find us in Starlink-Irc, a family-oriented chatting network.
There are several ways to get here.....either download a chat client from the list on the Parent's Information Page (better get your folks to help you).

Or you can click on our Java Chat link   <----------- right here!! The Java Chat doesn't seem to work with the newest Netscape, but is fine with older Netscape versions and with Internet Explorer.
If you have any questions please ask a channel operator for assistance, they will be glad to help.
If you have any problems, let a channel operator know immediately.

#Kidzchat is a chat room in Starlink-Irc, a safe family-oriented chatting net and....guess what???? ...We chat a lot!!

We are all different ages, from about 6 to the big kids (up to 17). Some of us know a lot about computers and some of us are just beginners...but we all have fun!!

   Rules


1.) Must be 17 years of age or younger. If you are an adult please identify yourself as
such to an Op.

2.) No Swearing / Profanity

3.) No Name Calling ~ Slamming ~ Busting ~ Flaming ~ Dis'n or whatever you wanna call it.
As the old saying goes, "Be treated as you would want to be treated".
If someone is bugging you in or out of the channel, message an Op for help. Do not flame them!

4.) It is polite to participate....please join in the conversation. Lurkers will be asked to join in or please leave. (Lurking is sitting idle for more than 30 minutes)

5.) We love popups, but please do not flood the channel with excessive use or large popups.

6.) Do not accept any files from ANYONE unless you know this person well AND obtain permission from your parents first. You can easily get a virus this way.

7.) If you join the channel and there is no operator there, simply type /join #Channels and tell them that you need an op on #kidzchat.

8.) NEVER give out your real name, home phone number or address without your parents permission! It is not a good idea to accept a private chat from someone you do not know. If someone insists on private chatting, and you do not know that person, please tell an Op. If there are no Ops in the channel, go to the #Channels and ask for an Op to come in.

Our Operators (Op's)

A word about Op's.

Op's are people who volunteer to help keep the channel safe and the conversation flowing. They are there to help you and answer your questions.   Any of Starlink-IRC Operators can be a Op in the channel if there is no one else around.  Simply go to #Channels to ask for help.  Op status is given to individuals who show themselves capable of taking on the responsibilities of an Op. You cannot ask to become an Op, so please do not bother.  If an Op approaches you and asks you a question, please respond.
